Re: coffee grounds vs. slugs


Only what I've been told by others, which makes it... um... not very reliable. The only plant I mulch with coffee grounds in miracle fruit, and it has no slugs. But I don't know if it would have slugs if I did not mulch it.

Umm, not to be too contentious, but from what I've read, caffein
does kill slugs, but in *much* higher concentrations than could be
leached out of spent coffee grounds. The latter might get them a bit
on edge, but no more. Is their any valid/anecdotal evidence to be had
about grounds vs. slugs ?
