Only what I've been told by others, which makes it... um... not very reliable. The only plant I mulch with coffee grounds in miracle fruit, and it has no slugs. But I don't know if it would have slugs if I did not mulch it.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Umm, not to be too contentious, but from what I've read, caffein does kill slugs, but in *much* higher concentrations than could be leached out of spent coffee grounds. The latter might get them a bit on edge, but no more. Is their any valid/anecdotal evidence to be had about grounds vs. slugs ? -jrf -- Jim Fisher Vienna, Virginia USA 38.9 N 77.2 W USDA Zone 7 Max. 95 F [36 C], Min. 10 F [-12 C] --------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@hort.net with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE GARDENCHAT
