Re: Ginger Pics/Zem

I don't do anything to them. They've been planted in my backyard for about 6 years. Mine are all Hedychiums. I've got coral, pink, white and a new raspberry. The old ones came from Plant Delights, and the catalog said zone 7. I think I mulched them last year, but I usually don't get around to it. They are currently in too much shade between a 150-year-old pecan tree and a fence, but that probably gives them some protection. I haven't had any problems.

Holli, I have that ginger and it stays in the ground all year. I've had it
for about 6 years now. I'm also in zone 7.
