Huh- well, when mine blooms I'll take some pictures and post so that all of you very knowledgable types can give me your opinions about it. Certainly has been an educational plant to purchase. I appreciate all your interest.

The 2006 Plantfinder continues listing them that way. However, like many name changes, it's possible that Tropicos and IPNI don't agree with the change and continue using Ismene. Or perhaps they actually were switched back to Ismene and RHS is the stubborn one. In either case it does appear that we're talking about the same plants.Kitty neIN, Zone 5++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Here's the best description of the differences between Hymenocallis and Ismene that I know of: http://tinyurl.com/2jkqnn Theresa: I see two photos of 'Advance' in Google images; whatever you call it, it looks to be interesting. When it blooms, look to see if it has the green stripes in the floral tube which would suggest 'Ismene-ness' ? -jrf +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++----- Original Message ----- From: "James R. Neither Tropicos nor IPNI give me to believe that; new species of Ismene described as late as 1993 and Meerow reviewed the genus in 2003.
