RE: OT - bird drama
At work we have a nice xeriscaped area behind the building. Some of the
secretaries were putting out bird food and a couple water containers
along the area right near the first floor windows. Before too long they
had attracted two kinds of ground squirrels, rabbits, all sorts of
birds, and once a bobcat that wasn't interested in the bird food. :-)
Sadly it also attracted rats and mice, which decided that living inside
the building was better than outside, so the groundspeople made them
quit. But it was sure fun to watch while it lasted.

Not so adorable when they steal your bulbs or create holes to their
tunnels
in your flower beds.
