Re: OT - bird drama

Thanks for all your kind words. My family was a mixed bag like everyone's. Jesse's story triggered a good one. I'm enjoying remembering some of the great things that happened then. Some were not so great, but they're past, bring me no pleasure so they can stay past. I had a very sheltered, but adventurous childhood. Vert strict parents, doting grandparents & lots of aunts & uncles & cousins all in the same area. Horses to ride & cows & chickens to wrangle & dogs & cats & parakeets. We could play almost anywhere within earshot & since Mom had a piercing whistle we had a quarter mile radius minimum. We knew we'd better come running at once, or else & or else was serious! Didn't dare get in trouble, small town, known to everyone & everyone knew Mom & Dad's standards and would tattle. Also made it very safe since everyone kept an eye out for any kid in range. Kids need time to just play and we got that. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Pam Evans" <gardenqueen@gmail.com>

Great story about the owl - I love owls! Your mom sounds like aces to me!
