Thanks, Theresa and Zem, I was thrilled to see some activity finally pop up on gardenchat. We still have lots of good weather yet to come. If the rain hold back I've got to start cutting some things back, but there's always something blooming. The Maximillian Sunflowers have just recently begun to bloom, colchicums, some have come and gone but others to follow. October Daphne has her buds but not open yet. And the fall anemones are beautiful this year! That would probably be a good source of information. Kitty, it’s so good to hear from you. We are hoping for cooler weather next week. It’s still in the 80s and 90s here. Looking for idea to replace the ash tree in my front yard (it’s roots are threatening my foundation). The arborist I had come out was completely useless- he just said to plant a Chinese pistache with no other ideas. The tree would get full south and west sun exposure. I was looking at Desert Willow and also Palo Verde trees as possibilities. Hoping some other ideas can be shared.
