Good morning all! Good to see some activity within this group. It is great news to hear you are still involved with gardening.
Another day, another week of rain after the hottest or near the hottest summer. I did get my veggie garden cleared off on Wed which was the only warm day of last week. I still have my garlic to plant.
So sorry to hear of your situation Daryl. That’s a lot to deal with but much to be thankful for also. Hope you get the repairs complete very soon.
Not sure if we have chatted since we built a villa and sold our home with a vast ornamental garden which was needed after having a left leg triple fusion in the ankle and knee replacement. We do have a small landscape of our choice after removing the boring daylily/spirea border in front of the porch. I chose to design with a dwarf Conifer planting and additional  Rosa ‘At Last’, 3 Carex ‘Ice Dance’, a small crevice succulent planting and several Siberian and Japanese Iris which requires a full detail plan with approval of the association. I also fillin with annuals. Low maintenance is the concept. The Conifers are difficult to get in our area so I will continue to search for additional ones next season.
I am still at the greenhouse as container designer March-May. This was my 23rd year and 26th retired. Age in its self has limiting issues as you that are experiencing the ‘golden ages’ have probably found.
Jim, what are you involved with now? Are you on the west coast yet?

Up north, October is bulb planting time.  Care to share what you’re putting in the ground this fall?

·        Erythronium Pagoda
