Hello all.

I am still playing in the garden, just not as much and probably not that much longer. Two years back ended up in the emergency room and came back out with all kinds of things diagnosed I did not know I had. Major was COPD emphysema sleep apnea, afib and pulmonary hypertension. Had open heart about a year ago. In rehab now. Throw in some age and there may be things I cannot overcome. All to say, I sold half my garden to botanical garden and still cannot keep up with what remains. I know the house and garden will go up for sale in the not too distant future.

But, I still try to garden a bit each day and do my best to ignore what I can no longer keep a handle on. I still purchase shrubs and trees like I was going to live forever, move things around and redesigning.

Good to see some names that have long been absent.

Good morning all! Good to see some activity within this group. It is great news to hear you are still involved with gardening.

Another day, another week of rain after the hottest or near the hottest summer. I did get my veggie garden cleared off on Wed which was the only warm day of last week. I still have my garlic to plant.

So sorry to hear of your situation Daryl. That’s a lot to deal with but much to be thankful for also. Hope you get the repairs complete very soon.

I am still at the greenhouse as container designer March-May. This was my 23rd year and 26th retired. Age in its self has limiting issues as you that are experiencing the ‘golden ages’ have probably found.
