It’s been a while but I do remember that no one could ever call you a slouch!  Where do you get all this energy? I bet Italy was wonderful.  I finally took my first vacation in 40 yrs in 2016 to Ireland and went back again last year.

Hello all!  Greetings from Iowa where it has been raining for days and we are having some minor flooding.  Nothing too serious and we personally are not affected.  It has been a rather rainy year...which means the weeds are winning.  

 

We put in new beds in our backyard this year for food... we've not done much beyond tomatoes before but have now branched out to peppers, garlic, asparagus, strawberries, sweet potatoes, regular potatoes, cantaloupe, watermelon, beans, and peas.  

 

We were a little late getting stuff in the ground as all the beds were new and we were working around rain or intense heat.  Plus we painted our house ourselves, I am in graduate school now, and our oldest daughter Meghan got married in July.  It's been a crazy busy year.  

 

Then we topped it off with a 17 day trip to Italy.  Life is very full and very blessed.  Our daughter's husband has a four year old son Leon so we now officially have a grandson.  Our son Mark is getting married in April, so our family is growing.  Our youngest daughter Morgan is still with the young man she has dating since they were in high school but no immediate plans for marriage there.

Kitty, it’s so good to hear from you. We are hoping for cooler weather next week. It’s still in the 80s and 90s here.
