Darryl, that’s a lot of trees to lose! They took my clump birch and a side of my pin oak. But what caused the biggest loss of shade was that they took all of the evergreens from my neighbors yard to the west. After they left I ordered two Yoshino cherry trees. Hopefully in a few years I’ll be seeing a little bit of shade back there again. Kitty From: owner-gardenchat@hort.net [mailto:owner-gardenchat@hort.net] On Behalf Of DARYL PULIS Oooh, that's awful. I'm so sorry. We had to take down the twin of the tulip poplar that hit the house because it was deemed unstable. This week, the arborist also took out a couple of huge trunks on a multi-trunked, 130+ year old red maple. Last winter, we lost half of the other multi-trunked maple to ice and high winds. All of them took a piece of my heart when they went. d
