Thanks for the information, Daryl. I belong to GWA, have for years. Was on a Facebook group but far too many deva for me.

Anyway… in the last stages of completing a book. Have about 25 pages to go and meanwhile it is going thru first edit. Trying to keep my focus and actually do as opposed to talking about it. Also started two more.

Gene,

I understand. It can be difficult keeping up even when we are younger. Add age to it and ill-health, and it can be overwhelming.

In case you or anyone else is interested, here are some of the useful garden communicator sites.

The GWA site

https://www.facebook.com/groups/81245042168/

The Business of Garden Writing page

This is the most active one and one that perhaps has the most valuable information

https://www.facebook.com/groups/105735412829773/

The GWA conference page. It's most useful if you plan to attend or have attended the annual meeting, but also often has good contact information and links, including those about upcoming webinars. I still look at it even though I'm too feeble now to get to a conference.

There are others, like the IGC page, but those are the ones I follow.

Regarding your webpage, I've been advised that I have to have links to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. but after this year, I think I'm just going to shut down my page. I've lost all this spring and summer to illness and broken spine, and now to physical therapy. I can't even walk in my own garden any more. :-(   Maybe next year. :-)

Gene,

Are you on Facebook? I don't see a link from your webpage for it, but it would pay you to be there. Garden writers have a big presence on Facebook, both the GWA and independent writers/speakers/bloggers, photographers.  It's been a good source of work for many of us, and lots of good information, too.

Daryl
