Ceres, your granddaughter is lucky! A few years ago I was a passenger in
a minor 5mph bump, didn't break the headlights but that darn air bag
came out.... broke my wrist in three places.... and as all you
nurses/doctors out there know, since one of them connected my thumb-
cast from shoulder to finger tips... URGH! Not to mention the bad bruses
on my chest and face from it.


I suppose in a high speed crash, those injuries would be minor and the air bag could save your life.
