In Illinois, it is 30 volunteer hours and 10 hours of education.

Ceres,
We have to have 25 hours volunteer and 25 hours education per year to
recertify. I think we could use a few less so that we don't loose so many
volunteers...

Kitty, we have always been rqd to recertify by Nov with 6 hrs vol & 6 hrs
education which I think both should be increased.
We have free evening educational opportunities each month by a guest
speaker and a wide range of subjects, different each month. These are
available
in at the extension office and you may also attend the new MG classes for
certification. In the summer months, free evening programs/classes are
given at
our demonstration gardens which qualify so lots of free opportunities but
many
MGs wait till the last month.
They surely recognize what an asset they have with you as a MG.
