Fertilizing is something I tend to do hit or miss.  Plants and bulbs always
get it when I plant them, but successive fertilizer is frequently forgotten.
However when beds are created I include plenty of long term organic
fertilizers which don't leach and will remain available for a long time.  I
know they'd do better if I'd remember to fertilize, but it never stopped
raining long enough for me to get out there and do anything.  I am planning
to mix up a batch of Leslie's rose recipe tomorrow to spread just about
everywhere.  and last spring I doled out 35 # of B&B's Cricket Crap
amendment, so most plants seemed pretty happy this year.
