Tony,
Echinacea purpurea is a pretty tough plant and can be moved almost any time
the soil is still warm. It's best to move it in spring, but you can move it
now if you take along as much of the roots and soil as you can. Also,
deadhead so energy goes into the roots rather than into making seed.
