They get in with some regularity, which is why we have virtually no insects in the house--especially no roaches, flies, or mosquitos. I really like them and, except for the fact that they put Beans in attack mode, I wouldn't mind having a lot of them in the house. And they are really, really soft to the touch, softer even than an alligator's belly [which is very soft].

LOL....now, that's the kind of critter I'd love to find in my house - rather than dratted ants and the plague of fruit flies I seem to be having this summer.
I have only seen a lizard (no idea what kind) around here once or twice. The few times I vacationed in the Caribbean, used to love the little geckos that stuck to the ceilings; woulda' tried to bring one home, but knew it would not be happy - talk about cute lil' guys.
Big question is how it GOT in your sink in the first place;-)

Ms. Fatma washes the dishes last thing in the PM. First thing in[after making the coffee] I put them away. This morning when Iemptiedthe dish drainer [no mechanical washer here], I discovered an anoleinthe sink. It was trying to get out, but the steep porcelain sidesofthe sink continually thwarted its attempts. When the dishes were inalltotheir proper places, I removed the drainer. The anole became stock-still; I grabbed it, carried it to the back door, and triedtoss it outside. "Tried" is the controlling word here. It grabbedontomy index finger so tightly I had to pluck it off. I put it in thetopof a corkscrew croton next to the door. I locked the door as soonas myarm was again inside the house.
