Oh yes, IL has tornadoes Pam. All those flat farm fields are perfect.
Fortunately, Petersburg seems to sit on just about the only hill in the
middle of IL. It's really an odd geographical phenomenon. The town sits in
a valley after driving on flat lands forever, and then the valley rises to
a very small, almost mountain like area where all the houses are. It's VERY
ODD, but neat.
