Re: Weather
Well, we do get tornados, and their forecasting gives only a small
window of 'escape' opportunity, and their destructive wind power is
greater than that of a hurricane. While that is a down side, the up
side is that their path of destruction is nowhere near as wide as a
tornado, and flooding is not an issue. Yesterday, my county was under
a tornado warning for almost an hour, but the most ominous weather
passed to our north, and I did not once seriously consider retreating
to the basement. When conditions are ripe, we rely on radio and the
volunteer storm spotters and keep an eye to the skies for funnels.
