LOL!!! O.K., so we've all had our turns at being naove. Wouldn't it be
nice if we could stay that way?
DH and I were on a road trip when CB's were popular (early 70's.) We had a
van at that time and Bill was asleep in the back. I was trying to stay
awake myself, so I was talking to the truckers on the CB. One of them asked
me if I'd like to stop for some coffee at a truck stop nearby. (At that
time in my life I was a svelte size 2 and looked a whole lot better than I
do these days. I politely declined because I didn't want to wake "the guy
sleeping in the back of the van." About that time, a state policeman hooked
onto my back bumper and followed me to the state border. I couldn't figure
out why the trooper kept following me, even to and through the rest stops.
When we got back to Indy, a friend told me that hookers made connections by
"stopping for coffee" with truckers at truck stops. (Was my face red!)
Yes, to be innocent once again!!!
Blessings,
Bonnie (SW OH - zone 5)

I remember crossing the Canadian border years ago when I was 18...stop here
if you've already heard this...and the border guard asked if I had anything
to declare. I didn't know what he meant so he explained. I said that the
only thing I was bringing over was some hash for my sister because she said
she couldn't' get it in Canada. He seemed a bit shocked and asked to see
it, so I dragged the bag of 6 cans of Armor Star Corned Beef Hash up from
the back of the car. He just rolled his eyes and passed us on through. Oh,
to be young and naive again....
