Not sure how to describe the taste, Bonnie. Atemoya is a naturally occurring cross between the tropical sweetsop [Annona squamosa] and the Peruvian--i.e. Mediterranean-like--cherimoya [A. cherimola]. It is sweet and sub-acid. The flesh is very juicy, custard-like, and segmented, with one seed per segment. It may be my favorite fruit.
