Lucky you came home on Sat and not Sunday... you would still be trying to get
out of the area.

Drove home from the Master Gardener Conference in the Chicago suburb
of Lombard on Saturday, the 13th. Very stressful with the inevitable
highway construction, and rain coming down in sheets. got home, only
to head off with DH to the Rams game in St Louis, where we got
remnants of Ike on Sunday. Fortunately, he was a fast mover, out of
the area by afternoon. The week ahead looks good. Excellent, because
one of the nurseries we toured in the Chicago area offered us anything
we bought at wholesale.... 60.5% off!  I came home with an American
Hazelnut, priced around $50.00, for a bit over $18.00!
