  It's odd, but I just got back the e-mail I'd sent to you a little while ago: below. Good work on selling ANY written material! and good work for Kevin to sell a photo too! May he sell many more in the future, and for lots more $$ too!

    Yep, I did hear about the mess at WebSeed. Too bad about that.
    I'm not sure about the web site--could be a good idea, but maybe not. Seems to e darn hard to get a nickel from people on the web.
    The book about your mothers, that sounds very worthwhile! People love books like that and they are useful and often quite readable to boot. I'd always investigate writing on many different subjects. As a writer, I often feel, that there are constantly fabulous ideas, going right on by me, and I'm too thick to pick up on them. Really it only takes one very good idea to make a writer's career.
    I'm in the middle of some long, drawn out, frustrating negotiations with a big pharmaceutical web site right now. I might well do very well from it, but thus far all the contracts they've sent me, ask too much and do too little to protect my rights to write and speak as I like. I have been getting quite a few newspapers interested in my work and have been interviewed by a bunch of them this week. The San Francisco Chronicle sent me $200 for a little article I sent them for free. The editor called me u[p and asked me, "You don't object to getting paid, do you?"
    I said, "No! Not at all.'

He.he…I made $49 off that Geocaching article from the local paper today and Kevin made $5 for the photo…his first paid assignment.

 

Anyway, they want me to write a gardening feature for the Spring Fling Issue…so I said ok.

 

She said she had lots of phone calls over my last article and lots of compliments.  The gardening club asked me to take over the newsletter editor duties. J

 

I’m also volunteering to write for the Master Gardener newsletter now as well.

 

I got my new domain today exoticgardening.com

 

I am awaiting the final details so I can start building it.
