First a comment, then a question:

I can hear Lon now:  Instead of trying to convince each other that
Scientific Gardening and the soil food web rule vs not, we are supposed to
be exchanging information that makes us better garden writers. I think that
is what we have been doing. I have found lots of the stuff written lately to
be extremely helpful and will use some of these thoughts in my weekly
column....references to lee's book, discussions of Mycorrhiza, roto tilling
vs not...all great stuff.

If you have questions about the soil food web, Dr.Elaine Ingham has agreed
to answer them for you and if they are of general worth in making us better
garden communicators, to the group.  If you send them to me off line
(Jeff@gardener.com), I will make sure she gets them and answers them. If the
question is one that more of us should be asking and hear the answer to make
us better garden writers not necessarily believers in one method or another,
I will post it or suggest that she send the answer directly to the group.

Now my question. Lee strongly urges the use of drip irrigation. How about a
good source of info regarding drip systems? Lee lays it out, yes, but the
system seems too complicated for the average gardener. Heck, I am an avid
gardener and am daunted by them. Anyone have any suggestions as to how to
take the "complication" out of laying out a system and, more importantly,
writing about doing so?
