Re: Drip Irrigation

Row crops like strawberries, tomatoes, etc generally use inline emitters 
that are spaced at fixed intervals along the tubing. There are various 
designs that are used to accomplish a uniform wetting pattern 
continuously along the row.

When someone uses the term emitter, they lump a wide variety of types 
that include mini spray types. The wetting patterns vary as do the 
application rates per square foot so the choice of the "emitter", soaker 
hose, or other low flow irrigation system must be carefully matched to 
the specific crop, quality of water, and flow rate/psi available.
