Bad Day for many
Doreen, there's no need to get excited. Or rude.
I never post to GWL. I'm so dumb, I don't know how. But I'm so offended
by your response to a panicked subscriber who wants out, that I can't
keep quiet.
The sender begging to get off the list is probably like a lot of us who,
with sleepy eyes and first mug of coffee in hand, opened email this AM
to find it innundated with GWL correspondence. Those of us who
subscribed to the digest form were blown away.
Instinct told me to hit delete. Repeatedly. For folks whose computer
skills don't go much beyond finding the On key, that's logic.
Your advice to another frustrated subscriber was that the first email of
the day advised what to do. Maybe he or she deleted that first message.
I did.
By early this afternoon, I was fed up and sent a please stop email. Of
course, it didn't work. I would have welcomed an insult just to stop
the flood.
I'm SO dumb that when I went to link you recommend, I couldn't figure
out how to change to the digest format. Dumber still, I didn't even
know I had a password.
Bet you had a bad day, too, Doreen. Bet you'll have a few more until
things smooth out. Seems to me that as a co-owner, it's your job to
make things OK for subscribers without getting huffy about it. In your
next life, maybe everyone will be smart like you.
