Folks:
    Doreen and I, as well as the list in general, have been getting swamped
with angry and upset letters all day.  The biggest thing is that everyone
started out on the new list in single e-mail mode.  So the people used to
getting digests, or reading from the web, have been getting a lot more mail
than they are used to.  Trouble is, they added a lot of that to the list
itself, which compounded everything.
    PLEASE remember that this is the first day for a whole new set of
software for this list.  We are trying to get things fixed as fast as
possible, but it may take a couple of days.  Have pity on us.  If you need
something, send us an e-mail OFF LIST.  If it's just that you don't like all
the mail you are getting, please don't gripe - be patient.
    The change to a new list was done to make it better in the long run as
it will keep us out of spam lists and the server is a more secure one
overall.
    Again, PLEASE BE PATIENT - we are peddliing as fast as we can!
