Title: [GWL] Re: garden photos (?)
There are two websites and two books which will help you with
this.
The National Gardens Scheme has a site at www.ngs.org.uk with a
searchable database of thousands of gardens open for charity around
the country. You should definitely also buy their 'Yellow Book' which
incudes all the details. The less sophisticated gardenvisit.com is
also well worth visiting and I would also suggest buying The Good
Gardens Guide by Peter King which has longer descriptions, full
opening times and is compiled parrtly from reader responses. Near
Birmingham, our premier organic research garden is well worth
visiting (www.hdra.org.uk).
I hope this helps.

I will be going to England in a few weeks and need some help finding gardens to get pictures of. My particular interests are herbs, pre-Elizabethan gardens, knots/parterres/cloisters. I will be based in the midlands, so any in the B'ham/Leicester/Derby area would be great. We are also going to Seaton area were there may be a recreated garden (???).
Any bright ideas anyone? Graham?
Thanks
Katy
