Here's a question tagged onto Doug's message, but more generally intended 
for photographers.

How do you protect your images online?  It's difficult to Google for them
unless they've given you credit (which isn't very often).  And even then,
as an amateur photographer who doesn't make any money off of my pictures,
I don't really have a leg to stand on with copyright law since it's all
based on monetary damages.  

I've considered putting up a 'Hall of Shame' at hort.net listing sites and
people who have stolen my images, but I'd like to know if anyone else out
there has any experiences.

I've also wondered how photographers register digital images with the
copyright office.  It could get expensive if I register an image one at
a time, but if I send in CD with all of my images for registration at once, 
isn't the theft of just one image then considered fair used since it's just
a portion of the registered work?
