May I be honest? One aspect of the design, which is clever in theory, didn't
work for me - it's hard to read the text when it is superimposed on a photo or
dark background. I wanted to read the dandelion story but I was distracted by
the photo. In the Ladew Garden article I wanted to see the photo but couldn't
see it through the text. I don't know the technology, maybe make the photos
fade more and only put text over unimportant parts of photos?

editor/publisher!

Yes, those background gradations turned out much darker in the printing than we had anticipated. Lesson learned and we will be more careful with transparencies in future issues. Thanks again for looing it over.
