Re: Roundup Runoff

A quick google search does not show that RP-PB is available in the US...since I don't buy such chemicals, someone else on the list may be able to state whether they have seen it in stores or not.

However, this still does not tackle the issue of how the RU ends  up in waterways even when used "according to package directions," i.e. not directly into waterways.   The fact is that chemicals used on land end up in our ground water, and often in our waterways. Even those gardeners who do not have a direct water source in their yards, may be responsible for the " frog deaths." It does not need a direct action of the consumer (pouring chemicals into the pond, stream, etc.) to poison the amphibians.  It is an area that should be addressed/stressed when talking/writing to audiences.

Glyphosate/Roundup 'Pro Biactive' is the formulation recommended here

The study mentioned in previous posts shows the importance of using
the correct herbicides for the task, as standard (non-aquatic)
formulations of Roundup are clearly marked as toxic to aquatic
organisms.
