Valleybrook Media Centre

I'm not sure how many of you know about the www.perennials.com website. I
used to be the Territory Sales Manager for the Eastern US for them and still
do some contract writing for them. The interesting and sometimes little
known thing is that they have a monstrous perennial flower database.

Having grown used to using the database directly on my laptop when I worked
for them, I now use all the search functions for doing research on
individual plants and groups of plants. The search function is much better
now than it used to be and you can use it to identify specific perennials
(such as blue blooming flowers for late summer butterfly attracting plants
or any other combination you can dream up)

They also provide high res images of flowers to writers and I've just
arranged for a magazine to access the media center to download images (hey,
I'm on dialup - I don't download anything unnecessarily) directly to the
magazine's art director desk.

If you're not signed up - check out http://www.perennials.com/media.html and
sign up. It's a freebie and well worth the time.
