The Content Licensing department of EBSCO Publishing contacted you as Editor of Wild Ones, a title I recommended for inclusion in Garden, Landscape & Horticulture Index (the new name of Garden Literature Index). There are benefits for all. Your organization would receive worldwide exposure and perhaps increase membership. EBSCO has contracted over 100 titles so far, including many non-profit organizations.

How far are you in the process? Have you expressed interest in considering licensing content and received further information? There are options for meeting publisher needs you can explore. With a sample contract in hand you can seek legal advice. GWA offers free legal advice to members.

I see both sides as I, too, am a member of a non-profit organization wrestling with the same questions and decisions, especially regarding how to handle copyright and future arrangements with content providers.

was purchased by EBSCO. Now she works for EBSCO. Sally is a member of 
Garden Writers Association and a member of this list.

I think it would be a positive thing. It would open your journals up
