Donna, I'm not sure this is a total hoax; more like it is possible but not
probable.  Here in Alabama, our local Extension agent said they have already
found the Formosan termites in some wood products from the New Orleans
region: wood pilings or posts, I believe he said.  They're being contained
but this suggests to me that we still should be on alert regarding wood
products from Louisiana.
