Robert LaGasse, Exec. Director of GWA, did some research when the  
alarm was first sounded and put out a statement about 3 weeks ago.  
His point was that Louisiana wood is being quarantined and also that  
Louisiana State University Extension has not been sending out the  
warnings that were attributed to it in the earliest internet  
postings. This doesn't mean that some shifty character can't manage  
to sell some bad wood somewhere. People can always be crooks.
