Re: [CBHL] Best regional garden books
For the Southeast, both A Southern Gardener's Book of Lists by Lois Trigg
Chaplin and Gardening 'Round Atlanta by Brencie Werner and the late Avis
Aronovitz. I have two copies of the former, one in my car, one near my
drafting board for quick reference. No descriptions, but if I need a plant
for an odd spot that's the one I turn to, to spur an aging memory.
Gardening ' Round Atlanta is nearly a decade old but has plant lists and
descriptions for almost every special niche in the area, along with comments
from the local Master Gardeners, Ga. Perennial Plant Association members,
landscapers and designers as to what works well and why.
Both are great references for gardeners transplanted to the South.
