Re: food gardening up or down? - Farmers Market

In my working world, I have to deal with the stats of traffic and paid
advertising.

When compared to any other form of gardening, the traffic and the paid
advertising on vegetable related information is the lowest. Fewer folks are
looking for specific info on gardening and fewer advertisers pay fewer
dollars for these low numbers. (which only makes sense) Pick *any* other
mainstream kind of gardening and there's more traffic and advertising
dollars involved as a group.

So while while some would like to entertain the thought of increased
vegetable gardening happening - it isn't reflected in Internet statistics
that I see. You can find these out yourself using the advertiser tools
found at google adsense and yahoo search. Note some of this info is only
available once you have advertiser accounts at these search engines.
