Re: Herb of the Year for 2007


Lemon balm has definite visions of world domination.  I'd love to
find some entity willing to buy my excess:-)  Very nice monograph
Maureen, but I sure wouldn't feed these plants, who seem quite happy
to grow in my gravel drive (or anyplace else, including my damp
garden); been edging part of it for about 20 years despite my efforts
to curb them by yanking, cutting and other plant torture.  If you do
NOT cut them way back ON bloom - they will seed all over the map. 
One of the most prolific plants of my acquaintance...seems, despite
its potential medicinal uses, an odd plant to feature as Herb of the
Year.  What are the criteria for selection of Herb of the Year?
