Twist ties.  But since we are on this subject, has anyone tried the Garden 
Groom Hedge Trimmer? I like the idea that it does (supposedly) fine shearing 
and collects the trimmings. OTOH, it looks sorta like one of those "seen on 
TV" things, and I am usually distrustful of those.
