TC,
When all else fails, I recommend that you start by Googling "Ruth
Stout." There is a great deal of material on here, including a
Wikipedia article by her brother, Rex Stout, author of the Nero Wolfe
mysteries. Then read her several books and experimenting with her
"no work" gardening techniques. They work--if you are not a fanatic
for tidiness.
