Re: No Mow Grass
Lois et al,
The "no mow" grass with which I am most familiar is a relatively new entry to the CT/MA market. It's called Pearl's Premium and was developed by a New Englander really committed to the notion of low maintenance grasses. It's a fescue that puts down roots 12 inches and produces a really nice slow growing grass that needs mowing about once a month. Ergo, no or low fertilizer inputs, as well as H20, etc. More info at www.pearlspremium.com<http://www.pearlspremium.com/>. Right now, distribution is via Whole Foods markets.
I've had it for about a year and it has performed as advertised. I'm told it gets better as it gets 2 and 3 years old. Can't wait to see that! I'm phasing my entire lawn over to it based on short term trials.
