Re: 3 Edibles - why!


Yikes - forgot to say why.
 Sungold tomatoes because they are so good they seldom make it into the house - you eat them as you move the harvest basket from garden to kitchen.
 Rainbow chard because it's beautiful and you can harvest it from mid-summer until hard frost. Use it as a wrap for the filling of your choice (goat cheese for me), roll it up and fasten with tooth picks, brush with olive oil and throw it on the barbeque. EVERYONE loves it, veggie-phobic kids included.
 Maxibel beans - if you pick them daily, or every other day, they will produce all summer and into September. They are thin, tender and taste great. If you get tired of fresh, tasty green beans these make great pickles.
