To compute in the garden or not?
A while back there was some discussion on this list about computers in
the garden --- some were aghast at the thought while some said they
would love to take their computer in the garden.
MMMM.... seems it might become very practical to do just that --- wear
your computer out in to the garden!
"Wearable computers could become more than a curiosity with the launch
of a system for the mass market.
The Wearable Internet Appliance (WIA) consists of a 300 gram (11 ounce)
palm-top-sized computer and a head-mounted screen. The display is
manufactured by a Japanese company called Shimadzu and fits over one eye
like half a pair of sunglasses."
