I've heard that there is a new pest which is eating lawns down to the
dirt, leaving nothing behind. This comes from two non-horticultural
sources, so may be competely off the mark. Has anyone come across it? One
case was supposed to be on Long Island, NY, and the other was around
Springfield, MA.
