"Popular upscale retailer Hortus Nursery (Orange and Pasadena, 
Calif.) closed its doors after 9 years. Despite strong sales and customer 
flow, the company found itself mired in debt. L.A. Times reports the 
company blamed the debt on a flawed computer accounting system it 
adopted last year."
