Hello. The bottom line is that publishing is a
business first. Ad dollars matter more to a business
than editorial content. The more readers a magazine
can offer its advertisers, the more money it can
charge for space. Content exists primarily to lure the
readers; the money comes from advertisers. So, it
comes as no real surprise that this is Country
Living's strategy. Are they really trying to offer
their readers comfort?? Their motive is entirely
financial; I think what they are trying to do is to
position themselves in a competitive marketplace in
order to grab the most advertising dollars. Just my
two cents worth.
