I've discovered that most of my editors now use the word captions for 
cutlines. Maybe it's socially or politically correct. They also refer to the 
photos as "art". Took me some time to re-learn the vernacular of journalism 
when I retired from Burpee and Bodger Seed Cos. 17 years ago and started back 
on my first love--writing. I caught up fairly quickly, but I still look at a 
newspaper article as so many words, while my editors now refer to it as so 
many "graphs".
