Re: Squirrels and cayenne pepper
Cayenne pepper only deters juvenile squirrels for a
short time (say, ten minutes) and has virtually no
effect on adults. It seems to work better on racoons,
but again, once they figure out that they can eat
through the pepper barrier, they will do their damage.
They old 'scratching eyes' bit is an urban legend.
Squirrel damage is not.
