New Email Address & Roof Gardens

Several of you have emailed me off-list at my old address, which will be
non-existent in 5 days.  So....to save time and grumbles, here is my new
email address:

I moved on Aug. 5, just before the symposium, to Illinois.

To add to Jeff Ball's comments on Chicago, the greening of roof tops in the
city have resulted in about a 3 degree drop in summer temperatures in the
city proper.  As most of you know, large cities are heat sinks, and Mayor
Daley wisely decided that all those black, flat roof tops were a big part of
the problem.  Even here in Rockford, IL, 80 miles west of Chicago where I
moved, there are roof top gardens to cool the city.  This is a city of about
250,000.
