RE: Off-Topic Cacao Bloom
I just want to let everyone know that when I was in Chicago the
Botanical Garden had a cacao tree in bloom. It had two pods on it. Since
my article and photos just went to Florida Gardening I climbed up on the
ledge and took more photos.
Now here is the amazing part. I have been growing Theobroma cacao for
three years in a pot here in Indiana, indoors. Today as I was watering
my plants I noticed a bloom! This is so cool. Now, I am hoping for a
pod.
Please send any comments off list.
Thanks,
Sheri
