Re: Messenger

Messenger will activate a response in the plant as long as the plant is actively growing (i.e. translocating, transpiring, respiring, etc.).  Any additional steps you can take to ensure that the plant isn't limited by stress would be good...like a good watering.  So an application early in the day, once the sun is up but prior to temps reaching 100°, would be desirable.

I'm pretty sure the PR rep for Eden Bioscience is on the GWL list...I can't find anything on the eden bioscience website about temperatures prevailing at times of application.  We're having a siege of 100°+ weather, and tomatoes look terrible.  Nights do cool off to 60s, and I thought I'd apply Messenger early in the a.m., even knowing temps will rise during the day.  Is that a problem with this product?  Thanks very much, Margaret Lauterbach (melauter@earthlink.net is a preferred address)
